Benefits
of aromatherapy massage |
 |
|
| |
Aromatherapy
massage improves blood circulation. Also, the different types
of essential oils can be used to alleviate different problems.
These, combined with the massage itself, will help relieve
nervous tension, easing headaches and preventing them. As
some of the essential oils are analgesics (e.g. camomile),
pain relief is common during and after a treatment. Also,
the body is stimulated to release endorphines, the body's
natural pain killer, into the bloodstream. The improved circulation
gets the endorphines to all parts of the body. |

Increased
endorphines in the blood also reduce tension and anxiety. As
these both contribute towards stress, this is also reduced.
It calms your nerves and promotes a feeling of well being. Different
essential oils will calm you more than others. While other essential
oils can be used to liven you up. |

Aromatherapy
massage detoxifies. Several of the essential oils actively promote
detoxing and the massage itself will activate organs such as
the liver, kidneys and the lymphatic system. The liver and kidneys
will filter impurities from the blood while the lymphatic system
will filter out germs and other bugs. Often, clients report
more frequent passing of urine after the treatment and some
clients report sweating during the treatment. This is the body
getting rid of the toxins. |

The
massage is quite different from conventional massage in that
there's not a great deal of kneading, pulling and pressing.
Instead, the aromatherapy massage is much gentler because
its the oils that are doing the work. Indeed, the oils continue
working long after the massage has been completed.

the treatment which is also enhanced by using one of the oils
that will make you sleepy. Furthermore, many report a number
of better than usual nights sleep following a treatment. |
