Physiological benefits of reflexology
Reflexology improves blood circulation which helps to relax the muscles. Increased circulation will get more oxygen to the brain. This will help relieve nervous tension, easing headaches and preventing them. Also, relaxing the muscles will help ease aches and pains. Pain relief is common during and after a treatment because the body is stimulated to release endorphines, the body's natural pain killer, into the bloodstream. The improved circulation gets the endorphines to all parts of the body.

Reflexology detoxifies. A reflexology treatment will activate organs such as the liver, kidneys lymphatic system. The liver and kidneys will filter impurities from the blood while the lymphatic system will filter out germs and other bugs. Often, clients report more frequent passing of urine after the treatment and some clients report sweating during the treatment. This is the body getting rid of the toxins.

Reflexology improves digestion. There is a whole area on the foot which contains the digestion reflexes. Reflexology stimulates the stomach and intestines. Often, clients are slightly embarrassed by the sound of 'gurlging' coming from their abdomen during a treatment. This is perfectly normal and provides proof of a stimulated digestive system.

Reflexology makes you sleepy!! Often, clients go to sleep during the treatment. Furthermore, many report a number of better than usual nights sleep following a treatment.
